Creating a new Contact

Creating a new contact requires selecting the following fields:

  • Entity Type: Type of legal entity
  • Country: Jurisdiction of legal entity
  • Contact Name: Name of entity as per registry
  • Company Number: Company number (if applicable) as per registry

Once entered, Cotiss will search its vendor database along with registries globally to find the correct entity. Cotiss contacts are unique based on the Company Number of the regions the entity is registered in (where applicable). 

Once an entity is selected, you will be able to optionally select users (Name, Email and Phone) to associate with that contact. Users can be optionally invited to join Cotiss as a vendor, or they may already have a vendor account.

If the vendor search does not return a result, you are still able to create a record for that organisation. 

After being added, you will be able to view their profile. Here, you can update their User information or complete Custom fields. If they have a Cotiss login, you will also be able to view the information they have added such as their Categories for supplying, Regions they operate in, Past Work and Certifications. 

Contact Status

Each organisation in your Contact list will have a status, that designates its current state:

  • Unclaimed: Contact has no associated account.
  • Claimed: Contact has a validated account and entity that has a valid company number.
  • Pending Claimed: Contact has an account but has no valid entity associated.

Invite via a shareable link

If you wish to send your own email or do not have all the details required to add a new vendor, you are able to send them a shareable link. Once they onboard or log in through their account, they will be saved to your contact list.
