Symptoms
You're creating a Cotiss vendor account and receive an "unexpected error" message on the password creation step, even though your password meets the minimum requirements (8+ characters, letters and numbers).
Cause
This usually happens when a colleague has already invited you to their organisation's Cotiss account. Because a pending profile already exists for your email address, the standard sign-up flow conflicts with it.
Solution
Go to the Forgot Password page
Enter the email address you were invited with
Follow the password reset link sent to your inbox
Set your password β this will activate your pending profile
If you're unsure which email address was used, check with the colleague who invited you β they can confirm the email from Settings > Team Members.
