The Forum contains two functions for communication with vendors - Questions & Answers and Updates
Questions and Answers
Vendors can ask you direct questions from their vendor portal about a listing. When the question is created and when you respond - the question and answer can be made private or public depending on the vendor and your visibility preferences.
Note: Vendor Questions are always set to 'Private' by default
How do I adjust the privacy of questions and answers?
For Vendors:
When asking a question, Vendors will have a check box available allowing them to 'keep this question private'. It will be ticked/turned on by default (making the question only visible for the buyer) however they can untick the checkbox before submitting the question if they don't mind sharing their question with other vendors.
For Buyers:
If a vendor posts a question publicly that you want to hide from other Vendors, you can Protect it by clicking on the '...' action button or when you respond to question, you will have the option to mark it as public as well.
Note: All publicly posted questions will not show the Vendors name for the other vendors, it will instead display the Vendors name as 'anonymous' to other Vendors.
Updates
Each update is broadcast to all vendors that have been invited or created a submission to that request.
If an update is posted, all vendors who are subscribed to the listing will receive an email notification.
