Setting up your 'Personal Details':

Within 'Settings : Account' you will find your Personal Details settings. Here you can edit and update your:

  • Email Address

  • Name

  • Phone number

  • Pasword

  • Two factor Authentication

How do I set up Two-Factor Authentication?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Cotiss account by requiring both your password and a verification code. It helps protect sensitive procurement data and ensures only you can access your account.

Follow the steps below to turn on your Cotiss 2FA:

  1. Click on 'Update' to the right of the Two-Factor Authentication field within Settings > Account > Personal Details

  2. Download an authenticator app on your mobile device - We recommend using one of the following applications for your authenticator app.

  3. Once you have set up an account on your authenticator app - add your Cotiss 2FA by Scanning the available QR code

  4. Enter the code you see on your Authenticator App

  5. Click 'Save'

  6. You will now have 2FA activated for your profile

The 2FA check will occur at login just after you have input your regular password for your Cotiss profile.

How do I turn off Two-Factor Authentication?

You can turn off 2FA if you prefer a simpler login process. Keep in mind that disabling 2FA removes an extra layer of protection, so we recommend keeping it on whenever possible to maintain strong account security.

Follow the steps below to turn off your Cotiss 2FA:

  1. Click on 'Update' to the right of the Two-Factor Authentication field within Settings > Account > Personal Details

  2. Enter your regular password for your Cotiss profile

  3. Click 'Save'

  4. You will now have 2FA deactivated for your profile

Setting up your 'Preferences':

Within 'Settings : Account' you will find your Preference settings. Here you can customise the following account preferences and notification settings;

How often would you like to be emailed your unread notifications?

  • You can set this by clicking 'Update' to the right of the field and selecting a frequency of either:

    • Hourly - Sent every hour within work hours

    • Daily - Sent at 5pm NZST

    • Weekly - Sent at 5PM every Friday NZST

    • Never - Not sent at all

  • Once you are happy, click 'Save' and this will trigger an email notification to you based on the frequency set, containing an update of the most recent activity in your account such as approval tasks, events you are invited to and information shared with you.
